I am currently teaching political science at the California Polytechnic University at Pomona, and I will be starting as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Politics and Global Citizenship at Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio in the fall of 2023.

I received my PhD in Political Science from the University of California, Riverside. My research concentrates on modern political thought (particularly the French Enlightenment), eighteenth-century French feminism, and the intersection of political theory and literature. My dissertation investigates the consequences of the style and form of texts for political and philosophical knowledge.

My current research interests include: mid-eighteenth century feminist responses to Jean-Jacques Rousseau's notions of sex and gender; women's early eighteenth-century interventions in the periodical press; and portrayals of Persia in Denis Diderot's and Jean d'Alembert's Encyclopedia.
